Win2KServer再インストール時にトラブル

マナブンです。
Windows2000Serverを再インストールした際に、
「Windows2000Serverを起動します。」と表示された後、

FAT32からNTFSにConversionできたらコンピュータは、再起動すると
見ているのですが、2時間ぐらい画面が変わりません。
HDDの故障なのでしょうか？
RAM:768MB
HDD:40GB
CPU:Xeon
です。
